Product Description

Philips Avance Collection 700 W Juicer HR1869/30 in White

Philips

Get a raw juice health boost. The Philips Avance juicer extracts all of the nutritious juice from your fruit and vegetables and can make up to 2.5 litres of juice in one go. The XXL feeding tube means that preparation time is significantly reduced prior to juicing. All you need to do is feed your fruit and vegetables directly into the tube and the juicer will do the rest. You can experiment with a variety of different ingredients varying from apples and oranges to parsnips and pears.

Once you have made your jug of raw juice, cleaning your juicer could not be easier. Thanks to the "QuickClean" technology, this juicer can be cleaned very quickly. All surfaces are made with smooth and easy clean materials, including the electropolished sieve, which means that the machine can be cleaned very quickly. Additionally, the design of the integrated pulp container means that the juice is channelled through the juicer more efficiently. This results in more juice being extracted from your ingredients and also less mess is created as all the pulp is channelled directly into the see-through pulp container. The see-through pulp container makes the Philips Avance juicer really straightforward to use, as you can see when the container is full.

Even emptying the pulp container is hassle free as the juicer can be assembled and disassembled quickly and easily. As well as the benefits of QuickClean and obtaining extra juice, the integrated design also means that this juicer will take up less space on your kitchen worktop.

Features
Philips
XXL feeding tube

The XXL 80 mm feeding tube allows you to juice even large fruits and vegetables like apples, carrots and beetroots without pre-cutting. This makes juicing quick, easy and a lot less messy.

Philips
QuickClean technology

A lot of pulp fibres usually get trapped in the sieve which makes it very difficult to clean. Thanks to the QuickClean electro-polishing process, the surface of the sieve is smooth so you can simply wipe away the fibres with a sponge or brush.

Philips
Smooth surfaces and easy-clean

The QuickClean materials used to make this Philips juicer have been selected with ease of use and cleaning in mind. All the surfaces are made from smooth and easy to clean materials so you can simply rinse and wipe away any mess very quickly.

Philips
All pulp in one place

Juicing can be messy, but with this simple design feature, all the pulp is collected in the only place where it should be: the pulp container.

Philips
Make up to 2.5 litres in one go

Thanks to the QuickClean extraction system, you can make up to 2.5L of juice in one go without needing to empty the pulp container.

Philips
2 speeds

2 speeds for soft or hard fruit and vegetables, to give you ideally smooth results, every time.

Philips
Non Drip Spout

Juice directly into the 1500 ml jug that comes with this Philips Avance juicer. Alternatively, you can attach the direct serve spout and juice straight into a glass. With one simple twist, you can prevent the juice from dripping and keep your counter top clean. The drip stop spout is very easy to clean as it is detachable and it is made of dishwasher safe materials.

Philips
Quick and easy assembly

All components of the juicer have been designed for simple and intuitive assembling and handling. This makes the whole cleaning and reassembly process quick and easy. The round design and smooth surfaces of the pulp collector make it easy to reach and remove.

Philips
700 W motor

The strong 700 W motor ensures that maximum amount of juice is extracted, with the minimum amount of fuss.

Philips
Dishwasher-safe

All removable parts can be cleaned in the dishwasher.

Advice when juicing
  • Ensure to wash the vegetables or fruits, remove peels which you would not eat and cut them into pieces that fit into the feeding tube if necessary.
  • Put the pieces of fruit or vegetables in the feeding tube and gently press them down towards the rotating filter with the pusher - Do not exert too much pressure on the pusher, as this could affect the level of juice output.
  • Be sure to remove all stones from fruits before juicing, but cores from apples and melons don't need to be removed.
  • Fruits that contain lots of starch are not suitable for processing in the juicer and the following items should not be juiced: sugar cane, bananas, mangoes, avocados, papaya, figs.

To optimise the result of juicing ensure to use fresh fruits, to feed the feeding tube slowly piece by piece, not to exert too much pressure on the pusher and to clean the filter in between uses to avoid blocking and covering of the sieve with fibres.

Please note that although the Philips juicers are very robust and built to last, it is advised that you allow the motor to cool down between juicing sessions as this prolongs the life of the motor. If the unit gets overheated it will switch itself off for 15 minutes, it is advisable not to operate the juicer for more than 40 seconds at a time in order to help prevent smoking and burning. The manual does state that this juicer should juice only for 40 seconds at a time.

This is the best jucier our family has had! The previous juciers we've got are much cheaper than this one. So you get what you pay for. I would reccomand this jucier for people who just started jucing, so you have an idea on how a good jucier functions(I started jucing with a jucier that wans't good at all and I thought it was good).

However, be careful when you juice some fruit and veg with thick peel(eg. lime). On the manual it say you can put a 'whole' lime through, but that simply did not work. The jucier started spinning and splashed juice everywhere! The peel also blocked the blades, so I had to take it out, clean it and then continue to juice.

i purchased this juicer from juicemaster.com not amazon , after 3 months of use the motor all of a sudden got slower and then i could smell a foul burning smell , smoke began to pour out of the unit and then it stopped working , luckily phillips uk customer care quickly resolved this issue and repaired the unit free of charge , i recieved the unit back again and thought they must have properly sorted the unit out (maybe mine was a one off dud) now a year later the unit decides to do the exact same again, i am now in the process of waiting for my juicer to be repaired again, i think this juicer is extremly flawed and should be avoided , i have read many reviews across the web including amazon and i now know this is not a uncommon fault , philips really need to get this sorted as if it happens again i will be taking it further as a household with 3 children in it doesnt need something that seems to be a potential fire hazard. However ..... i used to own a Philips HR1861 (older style juicer) which i decided to sell to buy the newer one i own now (due to the easier cleaning) the Philips HR1861 was a fantastic almost indestructable juicer that still works 4 years on at my friends house who i sold it to so come on phillips make your newer juicers like the Philips HR1861.

This is my 2nd Avance juicer, they are fab. My daughter recommended it, we have all had juicers previously and given up with them because of awkward cleaning, not with this one, it's easy and takes less than a minute. I urge everyone to get juicing, it's very healthy and good for you.

New to juicing and impatient to try so I bought the Philips. It does a good job but I find it can be a bit of a struggle with harder fruit. I have also had to reset it a few times. Top tip - keep a hand on the top as it can sometimes spin around and make a mess

Happy with the quality of the product and ease of use. Extracts maximium juice from fruits and veggis. Very good quality juicer at reasonable price. This juicer come with Fresh Juice recipe book by Jason Vale. But, for people who wish to buy a juicer and understand the importance of juices, i recomend a book by Dr. Norman Walker 'fresh vegetable and fruit juices' from Amazon. Norman Walker is considered a pioneer in advovating the importance of fresh juices for humnas to overcome early aging and retain good health.

I opened the box today and was very impressed with the quality of
the materials that were used to manufacture this juicer. The plastic
canopy is heavy duty and the cutter with foil filter is of the highest quality.

Once it's turned on, it sounds like a small jet engine and the large feeder
tube makes getting apples and large beet roots into the juicer with ease.

This has got to be the Rolls Royce of centrifugal juicers with the only step
up being one of those masticating juicers that cost £400 - £500.

Clean up is a breeze and the additional 2.5L juice jug attaches easily and
keeps juice from spattering all over the counter top.

Very happy with my purchase and well worth the money!
