This razor is strong and reliable, but is not really designed for beard trimming. I would recommend another model that has a beard trimming attachment.

No it does not have a separate trimmer. It has 3 circular blades and it is quite quiet and gives a good shave.

I don't know about a jet cleaner but a plug that fits in a UK socket without having to buy an andaptor would have been nice!

Not sure what you mean about an adaptor cord, in UK it comes with standard 2 pin shaver cord for charging, it is NOT used with a lead, (because it is water washable) lead only used to charge it.

is it mains 9 Jul 2014
It runs from a rechargeable battery. It charges from the mains totally in 8 hours to run on battery for 45 minutes. If your enquiry is regarding the same model as I have, I must warn you that it does not have a beard trimmer. I was disappointed. Nor does it have a case. I hope that the above helps you decide.

No Mr Flack you cannot use from the mains voltage. This is because of the ability to be able to use it wet you see. I hope this answer is helpful. Andrew

Hi Mrs Brown, this shaver has been designed for facial hair, and trimming moustache / sideburns. You would have to take advice from Philips, as to it's suitability for shaving the head.
