Dynamic Bass Boost maximises your music enjoyment by emphasising the bass content of the music throughout the range of volume settings - from low to high at the touch of a button! Bottom-end bass frequencies usually get lost when the volume is set at a low level. To counteract this, Dynamic Bass Boost can be switched on to boost bass levels, so you can enjoy consistent sound even when you turn down the volume.
The "Shuffle/Programme/Repeat" function helps you to get rid of the boredom of hearing your music played in the same order all the time. After loading your favourite songs to the player, all you have to do is to select one of the modes - "Shuffle", "Programme" or "Repeat" for your tunes to be played in different modes order. Enjoy the different and unique music experience every time you hook up to your player.

Ok, it under 30 quid, so really what do you expect from this machine? well its actually pretty good, my Mum wanted an easy to use cd player so she choose this. There is a switch on one side for off/FM/AM/CD, there is a DBB (digital bass boost) ON/OFF switch on the other side. The radio feature is accessed through turning the dial/knob on the right hand side, yes the old fashioned way of tuning in a radio, like I said very basic no preset radio stations here. The volume is controlled by the left hand dial, its not super loud but if you get this for a kid in their bedroom you don't want that. There is an aerial on the top for the radio, very good signal was picked up. The CD is top loading simply lift the lid and close no pressure pushing or anything. CD in it loads and brings up the number of tracks on the display. Very simple buttons on top play/pause stop FF RW etc, could have done the symbols in a different colour to show up more but otherwise ok. Playing a CD the sound is reall brilliant, to be honest I wasn't expecting much and was really pleasantly surprised. The handle is not boom box style as in lift it out and pick it up with stereo hanging beneath, the handle on this is moulded out ouf the top back of the machine so picking it up means the speaker are facing the floor, you wouldn't want to carry it around whilst on. It takes 6 C batteries so can be truly portable or mains based. All in all a good bargain buy from a brand name (am going to get a pink one for daughters room). No headphone socket, bit of a drag but most things are on ipods and mp3 players already so not too much of a hassle. Perfect for people who want a simple basic machine, does what it says on the tin, kids room, garage, garden etc.

I bought this for my 5 year old Son who has recently started to enjoy audio books & it is brilliant! Not precious as it's cheap but is easy for him to use, the buttons could have clearer labelling to be completely perfect but it does the job!

Very pleased with this cd player. Needed one that was simple to use which this is. Very good sound. Would definitely reccomend.

Practical little player
This player has a line in socket, something that most players lack. I bought it to double up as an amplified speaker for a netbook. Obviously it's not Hi-Fi but it does the job.
