Cheap, shoddy product

First off, right out of the box, the CD player did not work. But putting that aside, this is a very cheaply made unit. The CD door feels like it will break at any time. The controls are small, hard-to-read and flimsy. The radio tuner is hard to ready and not digital. There is an old saying that "you get what you pay for." but even at this modest price, there is poor value. I cannot recommend this product.

Poor quality, stopped working in 6 months

I generally like Philips products, but this one is a loser. Stopped working in 6 months. Poorly made, it was obvious from the beginning that it wasn't going to last long. A shame, as it worked well up until it died, and there aren't many of these cheap boomboxes that play MP3 CD's.
