The Philips AVENT 3-in-1 Steriliser is here to help. A versatile steriliser that changes to suit your needs, it can be adjusted to fit the items you are sterilising, in order to take up the least amount of space in your kitchen.
The steriliser has 3 sizes:
● Small: the most compact configuration, perfect for sterilising soothers and small accessories such as teats

Contents stay sterile for up to 24 hours
The contents of the steriliser stay sterile for up to 24 hours if it remains unopened, meaning you can run a cycle, then return later in the day when you need to use a bottle or pump. This is particularly useful for those overnight feeds--there's no need for a tired mum or dad to wait for the steriliser to finish its cycle while a screaming baby waits for its milk or formula.

Keep your 3-in-1 Steriliser in good health--remember to descale this appliance, just as you would look after any other appliance in your home. Philips AVENT has made the heating plate visible and easier to clean so you can ensure your steriliser is free from limescale at all times. You may need to descale your product as often as every 2 weeks. It is a natural steam steriliser, so there's no need to purchase additional consumables such as chemicals. It operates in cycles of twenty minutes - 10 minutes to heat up and sterilise the contents of the baskets, and 10 minutes cool down. It's not possible to restart the system until it has completed it's ten minute cool down. It turns itself off automatically at the end of the heating cycle.
It is a lightweight plastic design, but with a sturdy feeling base. Although there seemed to be a bit of play between the interlocking baskets, there wasn't any steam leakage between the sections. The base has rubberised feet to prevent it sliding around. It is very easy to use, comes well packaged and ready to go, and also has a 2 year manufacturer's guarantee.
On a negative note, the sides of it did seem hot to the touch (hotter than you'd expect a plastic kettle to be when boiling), so care should be taken around it. In a similar vein, the steam vent on the top isn't particularly well marked. The switch is of a type that means you cannot tell whether the device is switched on or off until you actually plug it in, so again, take note - if you plug it in and the switch has been left in the 'on' position, the hot plate is going to start heating up whether there's water in it or not.... This steriliser holds the 6 bottles and all of their component parts as well as a few dummies!!
Very happy with this product - would recommend to anyone no matter what bottles.
And there are other great pluses about this steam steriliser as well as the space-saving design - the sterilising cycle takes just 6 minutes, and if you leave the items in the steriliser they stay sterile for 24 hours.
It's easy to configure any of the 3 options - the largest takes 6 bottles - and then you just put 100ml of water in the base section, close the steriliser and hit the button to start the cycle - nice and simple for sleep-starved parents!
A great design, strong construction, adaptable sizeing and easy to clean - can't be beaten.
Another thing I did not notice until I compared this against the one we did previously have is that it sterilises and lasts for 24 hours where some of the other Philips Avent ones last only 6 hours sterile! something to take into account if you are going to express milk at some point that day saving you the time or sterilising, expressing and the cleaning the equipment - just one small chore less to carry out when there are so many more than you're used to before the baby arrived!
Simply add 30ml of water to the bottom section that is very accessible - top pieces just lift off like a vegetable steamer, put the water on top of the hot plate, put back together and press the on button - hey presto 6 minutes in and your all done and sterile for a full day.
One thing to note is that there is a safety cut off that prevents you from running the process straight away again as it needs to cool down - don't do what I did and leave a few bits out that you need to sterilise!
All in all a very very very good steriliser which wins me on the 24 hour functionality and the way in which it saves space in your kitchen. A superb item.

There are no predefined compartments for bottles etc just space to place stuff in.
Loads of space to sterilise pretty much all in one go.
Handy option to either use the small top compartment or bigger middle one or both.
On the down side, it sometimes leaks if not properly placed flat or if you place slighly more water.
Moreover, the metal plate that turns water into steam has started to have a burned mark on one side on ours. We always place the correct amount of water in. I think this happens cause our worktop in not 100% parallel to the ground and water leans more on one side having this effect. Perhaps Philips could rethink the design to avoid this.
I haven't tried or seen other sterilizers, and to conclude,
this one works well, can hold a lot but does have some flaws...
