Sterilising is all about protecting your baby from particularly harmful milk bacteria until its immune system is strong enough. The Philips AVENT Microwave Steriliser uses the hospital method of steam sterilisation, which is quick, easy and efficient, with no chemicals involved.
Contents remain sterile for up to 24 hours
If the Microwave Steriliser is left unopened, the contents will remain sterile for up to 24 hours after being placed in the microwave, saving you time and guaranteeing maximum sterilisation.

Side grips close the lid securely
The Philips AVENT Microwave Steriliser has clips on the side for extra safety. The clips close the lid securely so hot water cannot easily escape when you take the steriliser out of the microwave. The side grips have also been designed to stay cooler to help you handle the steriliser safely.
Just add water, load and place in the microwave
Just add water, load, and place the steriliser in the microwave for as little as 2 minutes. The exact length of the cycle will depend on the wattage of your microwave: 2 minutes at 1100-1850 Watt, 4 minutes at 850-1000 Watt, 6 minutes at 500-850 Watt.
Holds 6 Philips AVENT bottles
Despite its small size, the Philips AVENT Microwave Steriliser fits 6 Philips AVENT bottles of all sizes. Whereas most microwave sterilisers will only fit 4 bottles, the Philips AVENT Microwave Steriliser allows you to sterilise a full day's worth of bottles in one go. It is also suitable for sterilising other feeding equipment—it holds 2 Philips AVENT breastpumps, and is useful for sterilising sippy cups.

I use this at least 3 times everyday, and have done for over 6 months. I wouldn't be without it.
Better than electical one beacuse:
- only takes 4 mins
- 'lives' in the microwave now (rather than taking up space on the bench)
- Doesn't need to be unplugged to empty - just carried to the sink.
Not only does it holds a number of bottles at a time, but also dummies, calpol measuring spoon, feeding spoons, bowls, microwavable teethers, etc...
I never measure 200ml exactly, just fill a bottle to somewhere around that mark, give or take 20ml.
I take it on holiday with me and use sterlising tablets in it if there is no microwave available.

I decided to upgrade all our bottles to BPA free and chose this time to change from tommee Tippee to Avent. The steriliser is great that it takes 6 bottles, everything fits in well and the clips on the side make it secure. I recently bought and returned a tommee tippee plug in steam steriliser as the lid just sits on the top and I did not feel this was safe with a toddler in the house. This is great I can keep it in the microwave out of the way until needed and can feel safe that my toddler can not reach it. We have a small microwave and have no problems fitting it in. Am very pleased with my purchase, which is being sold at £26 on the high street, a great deal, thanks amazon!

This little set is absolutely perfect for what we want it for. I am planning on breastfeeding my baby, but want to express a little further down the line so my husband can get involved with feeding. Because this set is so small, it is easy to store whilst we don't need it and is easy to use when we do. Would definitely recommend.

If you are undecided, really measure how long it takes to boil enough watter to sterilize 6 bottles, plus teats.

Easy to use
The sterilizer works as it should and is easy to use.
Just be careful (like everything) comming out of a microwave after 4 minutes on full blast it is VERY hot.

Excellent product
