A great start 14 Feb 2012
Having waited for almost 2 years to dock my HTC so that I could play music and charge at the same time I couldn't wait to get my hands on this docking station. I did have a couple of reservations beforehand, particularly around the apps/software that you need to download. the other concern was that with 4 different Android phones in our house how easy would it be connect them up with different locations of the micro USB ports.

The first thing to note is that you don't need to download Songbird or Fidelio, I just synced my phones bluetooth to the docking station and off I went, the sound quality through bluetooth is surprisingly good with no obvious distortion or loss of quality.

With the FlexiDock system Philips get really close to getting connectivity spot on at the first attempt. My HTC has its micro USB port at the bottom which means it sits perfectly on the FlexiDock and looks great. When I first tried to connect up with phones skin in place I couldn't get a connection to the dock, but after adjusting the 2 rubber pads on either side of the connector down the problem was solved.(FlexiDock living up to its name?)

The only problem that I have is when I mount a phone where the micro USB port is on the side, the phone tends to lean to one side which doesn't look great and I worry about how much strain this would put micro USB port. some kind of support is required on the slider to compensate for this.

For a first attempt at an Android dock that is designed to work a variety of different phones and configurations I think it is a brilliant start.

ill start off with the player im using iv not been using android phone but using the samsung galaxy S player 5.0(which i must add is awsome) is pretty big 5inches so if you wondering if docks easily yes it does no problem whats so ever, usb can move forward to fit all players and phone sizes and you can slide it across. Sound it alot better and louder then i expected which is always a good thing :) its not that big either sooo you can take it anywhere!. Before this i was considering to get the 200 pound version just the fact it is louder and has remote but for me this is loud enough and you can use your player as remote either way so i would recommend buying this for money wise.

Application that you meant download but its ok the music section is fine gives you the option to shuffle every section so like if you got loads of albums by one artist you can listen to em randomly !!. The clock bit abit pointless want play music not a clock and the radio in my opinion is not the best as it can play stations abroad but anything in england seem not play for no reason. but you just download tune in radio on android market which plays with no problems.

Set up very simple plug and then dock simple. Soooo if you like me looking for android docking station this is the one but cheap and excellent music quality. will answer any question about the product :) Samsung 16GB Galaxy Player 50 - White

I bought this product to use with my San Francisco android phone and works really well. Links easily through the bluetooth which enables me to play the MP3's stored on my phone or, with the wireless turned on, any local, DAB or internet station through the many apps available on the android market. For me the recommended Fidelio and Songbird software did not work well but after using it to update the firmware I uninstalled and haven't looked back.

Excellent sound quality and plenty loud enough. In fact I haven't even tried it at full volume yet, I don't want to upset the neighbours!

I had been thinking about buying an internet radio for a while and since my DAB radio died before Christmas, this product has allowed me to make the best use out of the technology I already own to get what I want.

Oh, and it also connect to a bluetooth enabled MP3 player I already had so actually quite versatile.
