Doms Radio Rev!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Philips AE1505 Portable Radio (Electronics)
This FM/AM radio looks very stylish. I like both the blue and silver colours used, and having purchased one myself i would like to say it is a perfect size and shape to carry around to sports matches or on journeys in a bus or coach. It is easy to find the station you want and is an ideal present for someone... So definately worth buying!

The retro look,
This review is from: Philips AE1505 Portable Radio (Electronics)
It's cheap and for that it gets a star. This throwback to the first portable transistor radio of the 70's could only be loved by one of the retro set. So what's wrong with it you might wonder? Surely it will receive my local cultural broadcasts? Well yes it will...for 10 seconds, after which you will be required to tune it in to the station once more and so on for the next 5 minutes while it drifts up and down the band. I wondered at one stage was it using valves. Perhaps this overweight baby with the silliest handle I have ever seen will work fine in an area with a strong FM signal; it's hard to tell in the west of Ireland. I feel, for the same price, I could have drifted into a pub and enjoyed a few pints and the culture thrown in for free!
