Product Description
Decorative and enchanting, the Imageo TableLights are great atmosphere creators. They give off a warm glow, without the risk of open flames and hot wax. The set includes two rechargeable LED table lights, a charger and integrated adaptor. Unlike normal wax candles that eventually burn out, the Imageo TableLights provide up to 6 hours of light per charge and can be easily recharged. Simply use the induction charger base that doubles as a storage holder when the lights are not in use. Their wireless operation and the fact that they are water resistant allows freedom of placement both indoors and outdoors.

One of the Imageo's greatest assets is hardly 'shouted loudly enough' in the description:
The ability to use the lights outside came as a pleasant surprise. They are described in the booklet as being waterproof, and suitable for outdoor use. While I am not suggesting you use them in a rain storm - they would be great at a picnic / party outdoors.
Look & Feel:
The 2 lights are housed in a durable but attractive plastic cone. Recharging is effortless. Simply place the lights on the silver holding unit and the red light shows they are charging . The entire package does not weigh more than a couple of paperback books but it feels well made and hardy.
The lights change colour by gently turning about 45 degrees or so - a gentle wrist movement. They also change colour at intervals without having to touch it. The light itself is bright and vibrant without being overpowering.
While candles are traditionally considered romantic, warming and atmospheric they are also dangerous. These lights solve this issue.
In my opinion the uses include:
- Calming, place by your bed as you drift off to sleep.
- At night, watching TV, this is all you need.
- As an emergency hallway light
- For a child who is not comfortable of sleeping in the dark.
- Security. Place outside or by a window. The changing colours and visibility should put off any passing burglar.
- Romantic or atmospheric environment.
Having tested the product thoroughly, I conclude that that there is absolutely nothing about the product that warrants any less than 5 stars.

These lights are sold as tablelights, but I'm not completely convinced that they look right on a dinner table. They resemble a couple of cheap plastic beakers turned upside-down, and the colours they emit are rather unsubtle in hue. The choices are red, green, blue, yellow, cyan, magenta, white, and a colour-cycle mode where the colours gently blend into each other in sequence (but migraine-sufferers note: the lights flicker slightly as they're fading between colours).
The lights have no electrical contacts, plugs or switches. They're charged by induction, by placing them on a charging base and pressing a red LED on the base. Initial charge takes 20 hours; thereafter you need to charge for 10 hours after each use. The instructions say you get between four and twelve hours of use, depending on your choice of colour (white seems to use most current). In practice, they seem to stay lit all night, although the light does get gradually less bright. Once the charging cycle has finished, the charger emits a faint but annoying high-pitched warble until you unplug it.
To select a colour, you briefly invert the lamp repeatedly. To turn it off, hold it upside down for a couple of seconds.
These lights are completely safe in use - they're splash-proof, so you can use them out-of-doors, and they stay very cool in use. They're also a lot more sturdy than their beaker-like shape implies. They could be very useful as nightlights, and very practical around an outdoor seating area (although I'd probably want more than one pack of lights for that). If your dining area is very modern and unfussy these lights might also fit in well as tablelights.

Sadly one of the two lights I received was non-responsive and will require replacement, but I can review the product well enough based on the working one.
The TableLights are charged simply by placing them on the included dock, induction meaning there is no mess of cables required. Tilting a light will activate it; doing so again will turn it off. I have previously used Philips' Imageo candle lights, a similar, slimmer design with a flickering LED light. The TableLights are a certainly superior product for activities like film-watching, where such flickering is likely to be distracting. Equally as mood-lighting for a dinner-table, you may prefer the stable light these produce, though they are undoubtedly less atmospheric.
Those hoping to illuminate part of a room with these will be sadly disappointed. Their weak light is for mood creation only (where a candle might suffice). The provide enough light to see what you are doing, but not enough even comfortably to read by.
