DECT 6 series is especially designed for people who have a keen preference for performance and quality. Simple and elegant, reflecting an intuitive design and user interface, it is visually appealing to its target audience.
You now have the possibility to personalise your phone by downloading ringtones. Simply call the dedicated service provider and select your favourite song. An SMS is sent to you, together with the attached melody. You can select this melody as you would any other ringtones (country and network dependent).
Eatoni's LetterWise is an easy to use text entry solution requiring just 1.16 taps per correct letter. It makes typing on phone keypads as comfortable, fast, and accurate as using a typewriter keyboard. It is unique among predictive text entry solutions in its ability to easily handle the entry of abbreviations, names, addresses, and URLs.
DECT phones provide up to 9 personal SMS mail boxes which can be protected by a PIN code - SMS can stay private despite collective phone usage. Just tell your correspondents your mail box number so that they can send short messages directly to this personal mail box. You now have the possibility to download specific outgoing messages for your answering machine. Simply call the dedicated service provider and select your favourite outgoing message. This message will be recorded on the answering machine by the service provider (country and network dependent).
Worried about your baby not sleeping? No need to constantly go and check in his bedroom. The baby-sit mode allows you to keep an ear listening wherever you are in the house. No need to stop what you are doing and go to give the handset to your son when his friend calls: you can freely and easily call the handset in his bedroom and transfer the call.
The colour screen adds more fun and excitement by enriching messages and other features. The large colour display can show up to 6 lines of text with a 4k pixel resolution. Colour also makes your phone easier to use: menus and sub-menus are easily read and icons are easily identified, allowing any desired applications and functions to be located and selected quickly and easily.

Have had this model for some six months and have not found any faults.The orange LCD screen works well, especially at night (backlit) and the ten last dialled number store is particularly useful. The phone's phone book memory is large and can be divided into groups, ie. friends, family, work. All additions/deletions to phonebook memory occur simultaneously to both handsets, so you do not have to copy everything twice. Plus each group of callers (friends, family, work) can have their own polyphonic ringtones. If you have kids, then their own ringtone will sound so you know not to answer! There is an intercom too, which is handy if you have lost a handset somewhere down the sofa! All in all, a great little package from Philips...highly recommended.
