2.0 out of 5 stars Only minimally compatible with Skype 4.0.0.226 30 May 2009

As a microphone and earphone it works well, but it won't dial from the handpiece, or close the call. As a result you cant work phone menu systems where you have to tap in a number, which is frustrating.

As far as I know this is the latest version of Skype so presumably it is the phone which is obsolete.

4.0 out of 5 stars Skype Phone 3 Aug 2009
Just set myself up with Skype and it is fast becoming my number one business communication software so wanted a handset that was cheap and portable. This handset is really good and could be used by anyone I would think. My only moan is that the USB cable is too short but I am using a PC sitting on the floor. This aside there are no other issues with the phone and the the cable/USB plug wraps around the handset nicely for transporting in the decent carry case included. Really recommend this for getting started with VOIP calling.

4.0 out of 5 stars Philips 1511b/10 VOIP USB Internet Telephone 12 Nov 2009

I had problems installing the Telephone and had to reinstall Skype. Once this was sorted out,I found the Telephone excellent. I can see all my contacts on the screen (both Skype users and landline contacts). It is also simple to scroll through my contacts on the handset and automatically dial the number. It has many of the features that are available on landline phones.

1.0 out of 5 stars VOIP phone by Philips 6 Sep 2009

This phone doesn't do as it says in the instructions. It is fairly useless and Amazon should withdraw it. I considered sending the thing back. You can even hear what you are saying in the earpiece when talking. I have used it for one call on Skype and it's useless for other VOIP services.
