I agree with P K Brindle, this CD really should have had "To know him is to love him", but it has redeemed itself by having "He's a Rebel". All the songs are great on this and I would definitely recommend it. Fantastic to sing along to!

Ah Phil Spector. If we just forget about his recent craziness and concentrate on the music pre 1980. A great compilation, covering the infamous 'wall of sound'. However, the Teddys 'to know him is to love him' is missing from this collection. Strange as this is the song that launched him. Had this been included, it would get five stars. Legends always let you down don't they?

Very difficult to comment after the verdict last tear. Trying to ignore the murder rap one has to look at Spector's work from 1958 (Teddy Bears) up to 1980 (The Ramones). Read more

Read between the lines
The reason why no Teddy Bears-or Spectors 3-recordings are here is because its called Wall Of Sound.A name which was not part of the musical language till at least 1964. Read more
