Format:Mass Market Paperback
I bought this after reading "Play Poker Like the Pros". I like Phil Hellmuth's playing style, even though I'm sure he could be irritating given too much exposure. "PPLTP" was the book that led me to the point where I make consistent profits playing online poker.
The only problem is that, despite the title, this is "Play Poker Like the Pros". OK, it has one extra chapter on no limit tournament play that is pretty useful, but other than that it is the same book, word for word.
So, If you've already read "PPLTP", don't buy this. If you haven't, buy this one instead. It's cheaper, easier to carry around and does contain that one extra chapter.

Phil Hellmuth is obviously a great poker player, and this book is useful in that it imparts some of his experiences and strategies. But I couldn't help feeling that much of the text, abound with plugs for his sponsors, could have been replaced by some clear diagrams.

Very american style, lots of exclamation marks and stateside slang. The poker tips are good but Phil does enjoy talking up his achievments a little more than is necessary.
The last chapter or so is a running advertisment for Phil's website and poker room.
Stick to Sklansky.

if you bought this book before play poker like the pros, then dont buy play poker like the pros, he does state that in the 1st chapter. Read more
