This book is a great text for pharmacy students and includes many different subject areas relating to the course. It is especially good as an all round introduction, but maybe does not cover as much of the physiology of micro-organisms as it could. However it more than makes up for this by having superb chapters on the action of antibiotics and large chunks of the book dedicated to sterile products. Edited by lecturers from two of the countries top pharmacy schools, this book should appear on every pharmacy student's bookshelf. It is certainly the most thumbed on mine!
