Short Bio:Petronella Breinburg is from a mixed cultural heritage of Africa,Europe and Asia. Originally from South America, Petronella is bilingual and comes from a Catholic background and grow up in a Creole society. She has travelled widely and visited many countries in South America including:Venezuela, Brazil, and French Guiana. She also lived in Guyana before migrating to the UK. Petronella studied at several universities,obtained her Doctorate in Education with linguistics at University of Keele before her appointment at Goldsmiths' University of London, where she was a senior lecturer and head of the Caribbean Centre. Petronella has published a long list of books for children, teenagers, and for adults. She also has a list of her plays performed in Theatre-in-Education.
