Amazon - stop using Citylink. I've had 5 separate dealings with them now and not once has my parcel actually been delivered. Their tracking inevitably states delivery has been made, and gives the name of the person who "signed" for it - always a completely unknown name - but on further investigation they claim it has been lost in transit. So, they have a record of signature, and then they don't? I'd like to know where all these "delivered but then undelivered and lost in transit" packages are. I think I have a pretty good idea. STOP USING CITYLINK.

26 Sep 11 - Another City Link delivery failier here! My laptop was handed to City Link on the 20 Sep 11 for delivery here on the 21 Sep 11. The tracking number has never appeared on the City Link system. The laptop has never arrived. It has most likely been stolen by a City Link employee before it was logged into their system.

PS - a copy of this is going straight into the many threads on your site so other people who have been abused by City Link after ordering from Amazon can read it too...

It is abundantly clear that customer services generally do their best but what starts out as complaints by customers never get to register with the people at Amazon who actually make decisions. They don't even listen to their own staff, let alone customers.

I would hate to be on the support desk at Amazon dealing with all the frustrated customers! They are forced by the powers that be to tow the party response - even to the point of sending out boilerplate answers.

Personally I think it may be time to take some kind of action - perhaps a full-on 1 month embargo on Amazon - i.e. if we all bought everything elsewhere for one month - they might notice the difference - especially if we all each listed our new purchases and the place we bought them from within this forum - and emailed Amazon each time we added a new item... worth a thought - because this is getting us nowhere - and now City Link know they can do as they please, Amazon's "next day" service is now taking 5-10 days to get to me if it ends up with City Link - and I am sick of it.

Took City Link 6 days - and Amazon charged me 7.99 for "next day" - but at least this time it DID arrive.

Due to Amazon insisting on keeping City Link I have not bought any large items from them this year (have spent over 2k elsewhere, such as EBuyer & Play.com) which is Amazon's loss for ignoring my many complaints about City Link.

But now I am going to take it one step further and buy NOTHING frfom Amazon at all - for 3 months.
If we all did the same for 3 months Amazon would notice the difference and then might do something about City Link and the many complaints about City Link which they have been ignoring for many many months now.

I like Amazon but detest City Link so maybe the only thing to do is to stay away from Amazon until they dump City Link. If enough people do this, maybe things will change.

I'm shocked at how terrible the citilink delivery service is, we got carded but they didnt ring the doorbell, my wife opened the door to see the guy driving off in the van - customer sevices must be massively understaffed as it takes a 10 minutes plus to get through to them and they are very unhelpful once you do.. it definitely wasnt worth paying the extra for a speedy delivery

I've had the same phantom delivery problem myself today. I contacted both amazon and citylink to complain, but I'm afraid I'll have to wait until Monday to see what will happen next. I'm considering cancelling my amazon prime subscription

If you want my advice, ditch city-link and HDNL they are destroying your reputation. What's wrong with the good old royal mail?
