And the only reason is the somewhat odd choice of films making up this VFM trio. "Wrong Arm of the Law" Does anyone know anyone who hasn't seen this still funny lovely comedy with Sellers approaching his peak and supported so well by his "team"? "Never Let Go" The only film of it's kind - period. I can see why Sellers wanted to do this. A violent gangster, with no redeeming features. You know, if you mentally step back and forget Sellers as a comedian (hard I know), then his performence is pretty dam' good, even if once or twice a tantrum reminds you of the Clouseau to come. The film is well directed at a good pace by John Guillermin and Richard Todd (the nominal star) and Elizabeth Sellers do stalwart work. Even Adam Faith is better than you think he could be. I would say this is must see film. The last one "Soft Beds..." is a bit of a mystery. Some like it, others hate it. I think it's OK if you are in the mood, but it's not Sellers best moment even tho he plays 6 (I think) parts. It's also a bit ruder than the other film, but harmless. All 3 are good quality, with "Soft Beds" particularly good (Colour/wisescreen). As I say, almost 5 stars, and it's good VFM, you may like all 3 - I did (I think).

As my review title says 2 classic films from the comedy great from Sellers, as yes it is a great set apart from Soft Heads, this is a pretty poor attempt to bring a borstal into great fun in the war with plenty of un-nessacary nudity.
But the other two films are pure gems, The Wrong Arm is like a previous Sellers classic "Two Way Stretch", with most of the old crew reunited to yet again try and pull the wool over the police, a great crime caper!
Never Let Go hower is more a Drama and is so intence and has a real gritty feeling to it, and Sellers plays a great nasty charecter with just adds to it's greatness.
Overall i would get this for them 2 films, and treat the final film as an opitional extra.

Three excellent Peter Sellers Movies even though two were in black & White, these classic movies show how versitile Peter Sellers is when he does so many different characters I am very pleased thank you.
