2.0 out of 5 stars A very misleading description 27 Mar 2014
Format:Board book|Verified Purchase
I ordered this for my 1 year old granddaughter and as it stated that it was a board book I thought it would be fine. When it arrived the pages were ordinary paper and would be ruined by a small child very easily. I think it will be best to save this book at least until next Easter for her!

1.0 out of 5 stars An incorrectly described item 5 April 2010
Format:Hardcover
This book was described by Amazon as a board book. Consequently I thought this would make an ideal Easter present for my 11 month old granddaughter. However when it arrived I found that it was a traditional "pop-up" book, the pages and "pop-ups" being much too flimsy for her little fingers. On the back cover it clearly states that the book is for 3+ years. I agree it is a lovely book for a child of 3+ and I have decided to keep the book and give it to my granddaughter when she is a couple of years older. However Amazon, please in future take more care with your descriptions.

2.0 out of 5 stars Pretty weak for $10 11 Feb 2009
By NYC mommy of 2 - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Hardcover|Verified Purchase
This book is a board book with minimal text, but because it has pull-outs and somewhat more elaborate pop-puts, it's marked as being for older kids (3+). As a mom of two boys under 3, I have seen my fair share of board books with pop-puts and this is probably one of the weakest. It has a total of 4 pages and my 2.5 year old looked through it a few times, "found" all the Easter eggs and got bored with it, choosing more age-appropriate books instead (like Richard Scarry's text-based books for example). Unfortunately, I can't give this book to my 1-year old because he would rip all the pop-outs and it's simply not colorful enough for a really young child. So, I am disappointed - for $10 at least there could have been a few more pages.
5.0 out of 5 stars Peter Rabbit Easter Egg Hunt 26 July 2013

This book has pop-up features, and it is just perfect to involve children. If you want to capture a child's attention, try a pop-up book. As a retired librarian, I suggest buying this book to read to your children, grandchildren, or as a storytelling book.
