About the Author
J. M. Barrie (1860-1937) was a novelist and playwright, born in Scotland. He is famously known for his story of Peter Pan, which originated as a play in 1904. About the Illustrator: Patricia Castelao Costa was born in Santiago de Compostela, Spain. She began her illustration career after completing a degree in medicine. She has worked for several animation studios, and has illustrated many books for children and young adults in Portuguese.

The illustrations are simply divine. The story is beatifully presented BUT it was an abridged version which we were not expecting.
The original text is deep, and thought provoking. It may proove a little heavy going for most 7-8 year olds so this could be a perfect alternative mainly because of the unique images.
