This is a lovely classic story, but this version is very very wordy and my little boy (who loves stories) found it a bit boring. But something to keep for when he's older.

I bought this book for my seven year old godson and was disappointed to find that it is pocket sized, with small print and painfully reduced illustrations. I would not recommend this for a child. Infact, I wouldn't recommend it at all! I was told by the seller when I complained that it was a "collector's edition" and was supposed to be put on a shelf and "not meant to be read". How totally ridiculous is that? The cover is just a dust jacket, underneath that it is just a plain old book. J M would turn in his grave!
