Did you go to this tour? I did, and the best bit by a long way was the misheard lyrics section. The audience were in fits of laughter during this, and this was the part of the show we really couldn't wait to see again as we had forgotton many of the lyrics he came out with.

Why have they cut this out of the dvd? We were left disappointed having been there and seen it live and rewatching to see the funniest bit has been cut.

Anyway, I think people are being a bit over critical of the rest of the dvd. There is a bit too much audience viewing but the stand up itself may have been a bit old and predictable but was still very good. Having gone live and rewatched, I still found the majority of the gig really funny.

Given it 4 out of 5 because they cut the best bit out and there are no extras at all!

Having failed to get tickets for the show, we were looking forward so much to watching the dvd. What a huge disapointment - the sound quality is truly awful, full of echo and going up and down so much we kept saying 'what did he say?' Huge amount of time wasted on hysterical audience - and that was badly edited too, with many shots of people crying with laughter at fairly ordinary lines, obviously taken out of context. Laughter kept coming up so loud it overwhelmed the tinny/echoing sound of his microphone. (had the soundman never heard of checking for levels?? or maybe it was just Paddy in the wings with a tape recorder....)
Reading so many reviews of the live show then seeing dozens of other comments regarding the best bits being missed out, I am at a loss to understand why these were cut - much of the routines shown included re-hashes of old stuff, not too bad for fans if mixed with new and clever routines - as all the LIVE reviews say the show was!!! - and despite a truly inspired finale this ommission made the rest of the show come across as nothing really special.
Maybe if the frequently mentioned missing routines had been actually left in by the amateur editing the whole show would have been lifted, as it stands it is an obviously rushed-out let's-cash-in-on Christmas-sales dvd, which is why they didn't bother to add any properly edited extra bits, no time to do that, like they had no time to bother sorting out sound levels or re-record anything.
As huge PK fans it is so sad this has failed to live up to the delights of previous filmed shows, firmly believe it is very much due to the horribly bad director and editor, such a shame.
Just watch any of the other dvds of his shows, the quality of the one at his local town hall is a million times better than this!

What a bizarre DvD 12 Nov 2011
Format:DVD
This is definitely his weakest standup and only managed to raise a few titters from myself and the two other Peter Kays fans I watched it with. We all decided this must have been the reason for the relentless shots of audience members practically horizontal with hysterics. I have never seen a stand up video with so many shots of the audience, it's back and forth constantly. Off putting in itself. There were times when the camera was on Peter and he wasn't saying anything particularly funny, just building up the story, and the laughter in the background would ramp up a notch as if he had just delivered the punchline. This is one I won't be buying as a gift for anyone this Xmas I'm afraid. I've given it one because it's Peter and the end bit with the music was good for toe tapping value. Shame about the lack of laughs and bizarre editing.
