Deborah del Vecchio did a great piece of work when she ran the American Peter Cushing Fan Club, so this book just had to come sooner or later. It is the kind of book Peter Cushing deserves: A detailed book not only about his unique work on film, the book also details Cushing's later years in his and his wife's beloved Whitstable. Get it if you can! No fan of mr. Cushing should be without this book.

For anyone interested in the life and film career of Peter Cushing, this is the book to get. Not only does it provide a solid introduction to Peter Cushing himself, but then goes on to supply detailed cast, credits, synopsis and reviews of each of his 91 feature films. Produced with loving affection for a man who was not only a superb (and sometimes underrated) actor, but also a real gentleman. Packed with detail and plenty of illustrations, if you have any interest in the great man and his work - this is the book to get! Just superb!

Peter Cushing: The Gentle Man of Horror and his 91 Films 10 July 2001
By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Hardcover
From what I know, there are only three books that have been writin about Peter Cushing: the two volumes of his auto-biography and this amazing book. This is a very informative and entertaining book on an amazing actor. It gives detailed information about every movie Peter Cushing ever acted in. This book is a must have for every die-hard Peter Cushing fan.

A good reference book that shows much love of the subject. 16 Sep 1999
By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Hardcover
This is a fan love letter to Peter Cushing. As such it is, perhaps, beyond criticising. It contains an obsesive amount of material on Mr. Cushing and others involved in the old Hammer films. Despite it's fan perspective, it manages to give fair critical readings of his movies. Be warned, the book is pricey for what you get. If you are a rabid Cushing fan, however, or a genre fan with deep pockets, this book is recommended.
