Flicking through this book drags me back through my teenage years. Each song, each concept, each design meant so much to me. Having spent so many hours poring over their products, it's rewarding to finally read why they chose each particular photograph and font. It's rekindled my love for them!

I was so shocked when I got this book through the post. In fact I was a little excitedly shocked. It is brilliant. It looks absolutely fantastic and you can see they've spent alot of hard work trying to get it right. Everything about this is brilliant. Basically the book focuses on the image of the Pet Shop Boys with enough text to keep you happy, and some good info. I didn't know Chris Lowe started receding when Love Comes Quickly came out - that's why he wore the BOY hat! It has every single picture of every single release they've ever done, and nothing is missed out. It is a trip down memory lane for when I used to get vinyl and it also gets you to realise how much stuff you haven't got by them!

It is just pure class - it is definately definitive and the boys should be absolutely proud of what is a marvellous piece of work. Well done. No really - well done!!!

This is the most desirable looking book I have seen in a long time. The attention to detail is meticulous. Everything from the classier-than-class silver finish dust jacket to the glorious layout and design is done to perfection. PSB artwork itself has always been of the highest quality, leaving aside the sheer quantity too which I hadn't realised, and the publishers have really done it justice here. Spread after spread of glossy, nostalgia inducing artwork is complemented by pithy snippets of text and catalogue information to dip into. I work in an altogether drier kind of publishing than this and as I leafed through I couldn't help but think how much hard work the development team must have put into this book - if you're out there, well done! If Heston Blumenthal were a publisher, he'd publish books like these. Except that this book is worth its cover price and then some. If you know a PSB fan who's due a present soon, get them this and you'll be in their good books for a long time.

All their artwork, single and album sleeves, video design and concept from their debut up to "flamboyant" - very much a coffee table book and a must for the fan.

...this 'catalogue' is simply a majestic slice of publishing.
It spans the entire career of the Pet Shop Boys up until the end of 2005.

Whether you have just discovered the music of PSB, or are an old fan like me, who owns most of their late 80s/early 90s output (though none of their recent material I have to say) this book is quite simply breathtaking.

Titled Pet Shop Boys Catalogue... it is exactly that.

From it's shiny silver outer cover (artwork from 'Suburbia' in case you wondered) this book is the definitive word on the career of PSB. Browsing through this book spanning 20 Years, I was bombarded with visuals, including all the record and CD sleeve artwork, videos, concerts and more besides. There are almost 2000 images contained inside this book (the majority in colour) making this a pure gem and a must-own item for anyone who enjoys (or used to enjoy) the music of PSB.

Laid out in a simplistic un-cluttered manner (much like their actual album covers), there are notes detailing each and every single/album/video release, going into depth regarding the artwork and the music itself. There are biographies and interviews, but more than anything else, this is all about the 'imagery' of PSB releases.

I dug out my old vinyl and CD singles (none of which had seen the light of day in well over a decade), reading about each release whilst listening to the music itself and a few hours later noticed that it had gone 1:00am (on a week night), I was so engrossed by this book.

If you own the Limited-edition triple-disc 'Introspective' LP, then you simply must own this book, as only a fan back-in-the-day would have purchased the 'Introspective' limited-edition... and if you were a fan back then, then you will appreciate the splendour of this book now.

I must also agree with one of the other reviewers who said more bands should have a book like this published, covering the releases throughout their careers.

this is a must if your a PSB fan. The look and feel of the book is superb, as another reviewer has said - they must of spent a lot of time designing and planning this book. £20 for this is an absolute bargain. SUPERB.
