Perfect 22 May 2007
When you see a pet shop boys concert, its clear that the songs are just a small part of the package they offer, the pet shop boys have become synonomous with putting on a show for all to see and this DVD ranks as my all time fav. The stage design and idea of using a cube that constantly moves and opens up is genius!

The lighting used givers the feel of a very modern concert, also i have to say as well that the dancers are used excellently and Neil has never sung better in his life than on this DVD - his voice is immaculate.

The songs are very well mixed in, old and new songs alike produce a quite stunning DVD - this is a must buy not just for PSB fans, but for fans who admire and respect style when they see it.

Cubism is the dvd that accompanies the Pet Shop Boys latest tour to promote the album "Fundamental". The album has been widely acclaimed as being a "return to form". The DVD is wonderfully entertaining. The quality is great, both sound and vision are stunning and Neil T. looks and sounds better than ever. It features a cross-section of their material, reaching from West End Girls to quite a few songs from the current release, Fundamental. Highpoints for me are "Minimal" merging into "Shopping", Numb, the tender, acoustic version of "Home and Dry" and my PSB favourite "Flamboyant". The two dancers are very entertaining, being both cool and funny and the additional singers (especially Sylvia Mason-James) add roundness to an outstanding show.

In summary, "Cubism" is my favourite Pet Shop Boys concert recording from the opener "Psychological" right through to "one nil to the arsenal" or as it's better known "Go West".

Saw the Boys at Electric Picnic last September - a fitting finish to a superb weekend. Great to get the whole show on disc. With the addition of two dancers and three great vocalists, Neil and Chris to a fantastic job of bringing their hits to life. A healthy dose of new material Fundamental is well balanced with the expected oldies but goodies. Highlight would have to be a beefed up flamboyant followed a mellow take on Home and Dry with Neil on guitar. There's quite a witty audio commentary with the lads reflecting on the show. Not much else in the way of extras but plenty in the show that will hold up to repeat viewing.
