Cubism is the dvd that accompanies the Pet Shop Boys latest tour to promote the album "Fundamental". The album has been widely acclaimed as being a "return to form". The DVD is wonderfully entertaining. The quality is great, both sound and vision are stunning and Neil T. looks and sounds better than ever. It features a cross-section of their material, reaching from West End Girls to quite a few songs from the current release, Fundamental. Highpoints for me are "Minimal" merging into "Shopping", Numb, the tender, acoustic version of "Home and Dry" and my PSB favourite "Flamboyant". The two dancers are very entertaining, being both cool and funny and the additional singers (especially Sylvia Mason-James) add roundness to an outstanding show.
In summary, "Cubism" is my favourite Pet Shop Boys concert recording from the opener "Psychological" right through to "one nil to the arsenal" or as it's better known "Go West".
