Product Description

High Powered Pest Device – Rat and Mouse

This high-powered professional unit is designed for use in large room environments such as pubs, offices, restaurants and hotels. Using ultrasonic and electro-magnetic technology to repel rodents, it has basically the same functions as the PestBye Whole House Rat and Mouse Repeller, but has a much more powerful ultrasonic capability. It is equipped with three settings, including two powerful ultrasound settings.

FAQ:

How does it work?

Unlike many other repellers on the market the High Powered Pest Device – Rat and Mouse combines both ultrasonic and electro-magnetic technology. Ultrasound is a loud noise at a high frequency: it's too high for humans and domestic pets to hear, but is thought to be audible to most rodents. We imagine that, for a mouse, it's like having a smoke alarm going off constantly. Whenever electricity passes through a wire, an electromagnetic field is created: it has been suggested that electromagnetic fields create an environment where rodents are less likely to nest. Rodents are likely to move away from a house where they cannot nest.

How quickly does it work?

We hope that most problems will disappear within a few days. However, if the rodents have already built a nest in your house, they are unlikely to desert their young until they are old enough to move. Fortunately, rodents mature quickly and the babies will be fully grown within a month. If you suspect that there is a nest in your house it may be worth using traps as well, but remember that traps alone do not provide a long-term solution to your problem (see Why not just use traps and poison?)

How can I make sure I get the rodents out really quickly?

Combine 2 or more devices with traps and/or single room-by-room ultrasonic devices.

What about my pets and children?

Our Rat and Mouse pest repellers have not been found to affect cats, dogs, birds, reptiles, amphibians or children. The device may affect rodent pets such as gerbils, hamsters or chinchillas. If you do have such a pet, it's advisable to rehouse them while the device is switched on - either outside/in a shed (at least 2m away from any wiring connected to the house) or with a friend or neighbour.

Where should I plug it in?

Either in the kitchen or alternatively where you see most rodent activity.

Why not just use traps or poison?

Traditional methods leave a lot to be desired. Poison is a danger to children, pets and wildlife. The rodents die in your walls and ceilings leaving a bad smell and a dangerous hygiene problem. However, by far the biggest weakness of traps and poisons is that they very rarely provide a long term solution to your problem: as soon as you've killed a mouse or rat, you've created a vacancy for another one to move into your house. Because they breed so fast, it's very difficult to achieve a permanent solution using the expensive methods offered by your local council or pest controller: if you've had rats or mice once, the chances are that more of the beasts will frequently be sniffing around your property looking for a nice place to live. If you leave traps or poison, you're also leaving highly-scented bait that will attract more rodents in.

Is it really safe?

Our Rat and Mouse pest repellers will not affect any electrical equipment like computers or burglar alarms.

Please note: this device is not suitable for outdoor use.

I bought this device because I suddenly got mouse in the house. Never experienced this before in my life. Major shock to me was the really foul urine stench and the droppings all over the kitchen work surfaces. Corn flakes and crisp bread packets all had to be thrown out due to 'break-ins' and contamination. It was horrible, truly horrible. My house was no longer mine. They even got into the oven baking tray in the oven somehow! I initially bought traps, which worked for a time, but then the mice started avoided them. Finally out of desperation, I went online and got advice on how to deal with mice. As a result I bought peppermint oil (which mice hate apparently) and these mouse frighteners. I should have bought the domestic version, but was so keen to rid my house of mice, I paid extra and got the industrial sized mouse repellent. It was excellent. The mice initially moved to another room, so I bought a second device. Two weeks so far without any mouse dropping anywhere. Fingers crossed, let's hope they are gone forever. This device is awesome - so far.

Had this product now for three months (bought two of them) not seen sight nor sound for 10 weeks which ever the problem these machines have got RID. Effective I believe so! so quiet you cannot hear them even when you are asleep, extra cheap to run.
Would strongly recommend this product to everyone.

If your not happy you have your money back guarantee, what have you got to loose except your rodents :-)

Well, on plugging this in there was an immediate effect ... the cats were frightened off straight away !
I had to unplug it during their feeding times ... their own fault ... why 4 of them allowed my infestation to progress so far ?
However, it flushed out 3 or 4 mice and these were ejected
After 3 weeks I'm down to one who must be deaf !
I shall persevere and can't complain of the product

This device does work,it does do some sort of prevention to the mice, however you still have to be vigilant as i have had this device 8 months, and today i have seen a mouse so i am busy looking for new holes they may have made and blocked them with cement and also sticky traps, this is no fault of the device its just that the mice seek new places to dig holes, i have four devices in my 4 bedroom home this one and other plug in ones i decided to try. i have been mouse free for nearly a year till to today.

i bought this as i had read some reviews but it definately does not work cos the rats still came and did not seem bothered at all, it emits an unpleasant noise for the rodents but i think they probably used to it and ignore it , its also far too expensive for what it is. try glue of rat cage instead

This product along with the individual Pestbye room devices were absolutely useless in getting rid of our mice. I tried to return the product but the seller wouldn't take it back because it had been used. But the seller acknowledged that the product didn't work. Very frustrating transaction.
