Product Description
*As with all products that involve animal behaviour, results vary from one dog to another and should be used in conjunction with spoken commands to reinforce the message - this is a training aid. Whilst many dogs are trained quickly, some need more patience and perseverance. In very rare cases the results may be less than totally effective.
Settings
Unlike similar products this device is suitable for both Indoor and Outdoor use. This device has sensitivity settings on it, which allow you to control how far away the bark can be picked up from.
Test button - This allows you to check the device is functioning by emitting an audible noise for you to hear.
Positioning
Position the device pointing towards the usual area the dog will be in. Aim to achieve line of sight with the dog. Because ultrasonic sound is a high frequency it behaves more like light than sound - consequently fences and dense shrubbery may block ultrasonic sound and reduce the effectiveness of the device. If there is a fence between the device and the target dog, place the device high and point it down towards the dog.

I have been looking for something to stop our terriers barking everytime a bird lands in one of our trees. I read all the reviews and, for a while, decided not to bother.
Yesterday I gave in and bought this one, even though the reviews were terrible, I thought I would give it a chance. It arrived at 8am this morning (fantastic delivery service) and I put it straight to work outside.
The dogs have only barked once! They still wag their tails and run outside but are now ignoring the birds who once taunted them.
Amazing, I don't know if it becasue they are small dogs but it really does work. My suggestion would be to give it a go, we can now look forward to our new puppy arriving and not have to worry about the older dogs teaching the younger one to bark at birds!

I ordered one of these as we have 2 labradors and 2 golden retrievers - one of the dogs takes exception to anyone walking past the house and all 4 end up barking. Tried this and almost immediately the barking stopped - not completely but there would be a couple of barks and that was it.
The problem is that although it is clearly stated it is suitable for outdoor use, on day 3 it was full of water and making all sorts of funny noises - its in the kitchen drying out at the moment!

I purchased this for my parents who had trouble with 3 large barking dogs next door. They had tried a hand held device which worked but they had to go upstairs and point it out the window every time they wanted to stop the dogs barking. We thought we would try this and it is really good, it works automatically and whilst the dogs bark, it is only for a second or so and then they stop - my mum can now look foward to summer being able to sit in the garden without the dogs barking every time they go outside. I made it a four star only because if is a bit juicy on batteries, but my mum has got some rechargeables and anyway she said it is a small price to pay. I would really recommend this one as apparently it does not cause any harm to the dogs, it is just irritating to them if they bark a bit like if you run your fingernails down and blackboard!!!

Hasn't really worked for us
