As with most books that offer a guide to personality types, this necessarily depends on generalisations and - as ever - breaks 'us' into 4 basic types. The 'Compass' system has advantages over many others, though, for it allows exploration of two further 'sub-dominant' influences.

It also employs familiar terminology and quickly tests your understanding of the basics before thoroughly getting down to personality specifics in the latter part of the book. I thought this an excellent tool, since I'm sure the tendancy is often to shoot off and pigeon hole everyone on the flimsiest evidence!

As regards the book's claims, this is indeed 'Easy' and 'Accurate' - I stop short of agreeing it's 'Fun' in itself, though, and would suggest from this point of view it comes second to Susan Dellinger's 'Psycho-Geometrics'.

In summary: Generalisations, albeit good ones, fine for reference and handy to have on the shelf. Go for it!
