5.0 out of 5 stars High Grade 11 Aug 2004
By A Customer
Being a big fan of the Nextmen's production skills, I decided to purchase this CD on a whim. As opposed to their debut album 'Amongst the Madness' and even their remix album 'That's what friends are for'; this album takes you through an exhilerating ride of highs & lows and spanning a range of musical genres from hip-hop to soul, to house, to drum & bass, etc. In the same vein as their 'Listen & Lose' mix cd, this album is heavy duty for fans of the Nextmen & music in general. Thei merging of all of these genres & technically proficient production skills put this album at top of my list. Likened to Soulwax's '2 many DJ's', but better!

5.0 out of 5 stars It's the JIGGA!!!!!!!! 25 Jan 2006
Verified Purchase
Great mix of all things funky from Hip Hop to Drum 'n' Bass (the genre tag 'urban' I feel is appropropriately helpful to some and confusing no doubt to others!) and highly recommended to give you an energy boost should it be required. However, it must be mentioned that my copy of this release contains no track listing. Tracklistings help the artists whose brilliant work is featured. Were royalties paid? This seems like a bootleg release. I hope on following compilations from The Nextmen of this sort (of which all I'll buy) I hope they address this issue and do the release right.

5.0 out of 5 stars Carlsberg Mix! 10 April 2012
If Carlsberg made mix CDs .... this is probably the best mix in the world! I've owned this for years and still listen to it on a regular basis. You want the Jungle Brothers mixed with Tweet? You've got it; as well as a mash-up of soul, reggae, hip-hop and drum 'n' bass. Even the Jackson 5 make an appearance! This is the ultimate in party tunes and good times. Grab this, and anything else The Nextmen have ever released, and make sure your stereo goes up to 11. Happy Days!!!!

This is one of the best albums I have bought in ages. A real mix of music where you always look forward to the next track. There's house, R&B, drum and bass and it's all very funky. Fabulous.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best I've heard 1 Mar 2005
This is the best mix of tunes I have heard, a bold statement but the truth. It is an amasing mix of hip hop, funk, reggae, drum and base and house, around 40 tunes beautifully mixed together
