Product Description

From the Author

My first and favorite book!
For many years I had dreamed of writing a comprehensive personal financial planning book which would teach the concepts and give solid answers to common financial quandaries. In my experience as a practicing financial counselor, I had seen how lack of knowledge had led many otherwise intelligent people down detrimental paths.

I have always believed that you can be your own best financial planner so I wrote this book to empower people to take charge of their personal financial affairs. --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

2.0 out of 5 stars US Specific! 18 Jan 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
Don't do what I did and buy this if you're in the UK. It's specific to the US and so of limited use in the UK.

I actually bought the kindle version by mistake after buying the UK version (Personal Finance and Investing All-in-One For Dummies) paperback.

Format:Paperback
In my opinion the Dummies series is the best line of reference books around(I own a dozen or so). Included in my collection is mutual funds for dummies, investing for dummies, and personal finance for dummies(all of which Eric tyson is the author). Although all of these books are informative readings, Eric's personal finance for dummies is the first I would recommend reading. Most of the "nuggets" that are in the other two books are in the personal finance book.

I don't know if Eric reads these, but I would like to thank him for his commitment to helping people like me. I have aready applied much of what I learned from him and feel extreamly confident about my financial future. THANKS ERIC!

Format:Paperback
Despite it is written for the American market, the basic contents are applicable all over the world. I think the content of this book should be teach in the schools all over the world and it will help our understanding and money management. Unfortunately, I did not read this book in my early twenties.
