In recognition of his perennial popularity Vin received an award for “Best Live Act” at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards 2001 and during the same year Vin received an Honorary Degree from Teesside University. His voice has improved with the years and his songwriting is as incisive as ever. Why is is it that one man can say so much about our world in a song when politicians use a thousand words to avoid saying anything. Vin gets better and better.
