Product Description

Synopsis

This text presents an introduction to the person-centred approach for the 21st century. Giving a broad and unbiased account, the authors illustrate how the approach has developed since the death of Carl Rogers and explore how the person-centred philosophy can be an effective working model for both counselling and psychotherapy and for understanding, living and working in the complex contemporary world.

4.0 out of 5 stars A very good introduction to the person-centred approach, 24 Aug 2008
By R. MCILROY - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This is written by practising person-centred therapists associated with Temenos Sheffield, a well-regarded centre for training in the approach. It's an up-to-the-minute commentary on Carl Roger's original theories as to how humans develop, how we relate to others and within groups, and how person-centred therapy can be a powerful way to promote growth. Highly recommended for would-be counselling students and for practising counsellors.
