I intially borrowed this book, but actually if you have any person centred book, this could be it.

I am a counsellor that uses the Person Centred approach, but I am completing my senior accreditation and wanted to top up the right words to describe my work. Such a releif to read a book that reminds me why I work this way and reminds me some of the forgotten nuggets that help.

So good for those who are in training, or for those studying further. I think I will find it handy for dipping into when I am struggling with individual cases too.

Enjoy

One of the best books I have read on Client-Centred Counselling. I think it is indispensable for students and practitioners. Having just struggled through a course that described itself as being based on person centred counselling, yet where the tutor stated that you could never get a job if you put in your CV that you were a person-centred counsellor, and that this approach is just a base for other "interventions" and modalities, it was good to re-affirm my belief that being orthadox client-centred is perfectly good. Thanks to the author, a great read.Highly recommended!

I would not be without this little gem. I used it to prpare for AQA Level 4 exam, and alongside other books it was a greast assett. Readable, no wasted words, concise and practical. It complemented other sources well. A little gem.

Really easy to read, giving clear examples and explanations and is refreshingly jargon-free. Good to sit down and read or to dip in and out of as required. A really helpful guide for students.

This is possibly the best book I have read on Person Centred Counselling. It is very well written, concise and elaborates on the "core conditions" superbly.
I would highly recommend this book for anyone with an interest in person centred counselling, whether at study level or qualified.
