yes this i can honestly say is one of the best albums i have ever heard.

i first got this on vinyl in the 70s and took great pride in playing this to whoever appreciated good music, alas its now worn out and cds leed the way so its certainly the buy of the moment.

my favourite track being "if i ever lose this heaven but cloudy comes a very close second......in fact they are all very very good tracks (and its nice to here talented musisians.

you wont be dissapointed at all...............buy it,and in many years time you too will be buying it again just like me.

This is possibly one of the great live albums - cut the cake/TLC are better versions then their studio counterparts. I never heard this on vinyl and my first listen on CD was disappointing due to the poor digital recording on a box set. But the Song/BMG(2005) version is suberb with a richness of sound that makes you literally feel like you are there. Yeh AWB were great entertainers and this album really highlights their class as a live act.

ONE OF THE BEST LIVE ALBUMS EVER 29 Mar. 2000
By Oldschool77 - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
Few live albums actually capture the true essence of an actual concert. This album provides you the opportunity to experience an AWB concert. All of the songs are tight and the group shows off their superior musicianship by playing several solos and stretching their wings on almost every track. It is a one of a kind experience that every true fan of AWB must have in their collection.

ONE OF THE BEST LIVE ALBUMS EVER RECORDED! 10 July 2001
By Bradley Kelso - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
This album ranks as one of the best soul live albums of all time!! It is right up there with Earth, Wind & Fire's "Gratitude" album. This CD has all the AWB jams we all love. "Cut the cake", "If I ever lose this heaven", "Schoolboy Crush", "TLC" and an incredible 18+ minute set of the alltime AWB favorite "Pick up the pieces". I kind of wish they put "Soul Searching" and "A Love of our own" on this CD but there plenty of hits to keep you in a definite funk groove. The sound is crisp and clear and still rocks as great today as they did making this album in '76. A MUST FOR ANY TRUE AWB FAN!

This is one of the Greatest Live Albums of all time 27 Dec. 1999
By Dylan - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
Most Concert albums of bands suck. This one doesn't. I think songs such as I'm the One, Pick Up the Pieces, and T.L.C. are better on this then they are in the studio. Pick Up the Pieces has a solo by everyone in the band, making it more then 18 minutes long.
Overall, it's one of, if not, the best concert albums in exsitence. It's not a must have unless you like the Average White Band and / or need something to introduce your-self to the members of the group.

If you never seen them live....this is it! 5 Mar. 2005
By DJ Bruce Wayne - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
A must have for any R&B Soul collection....I've seen AWB back in the early 80's at the front row theatre in Cleveland before some of the original members went there separate ways. And that concert along with some new material from the Shine album was on the money hearing those classic tunes, keep in mind I was at the

age of 9 or 10 I still have my ticket stub from the concert and good thing my older brother show me at a young age to appreciate

good music...even now my collection is filled with classics such

as this one.....

Luv AWB 25 Sept. 2007
By Dancin'Machine - Published on Amazon.com

Excellent CD-I have played it almost daily for a month! Love that Hamish Stuart. He's doing his own thing now, but the replacements on the drums and lead singer belong right where they are. There is no change in the excellent sound of AWB even though only two original members remain. If you can, go see them in concert yourself. AMAZING
