Please see my other reviews for this series - I am collecting them. This volume was every bit as good as the rest - ie, outstanding value for a top quality seminal series.

5.0 out of 5 stars I love Perry Mason 10 Jan 2011

What can I say? The episodes, as usual, are excellent. Raymond Burr is perfect as Perry Mason. The picture quality is perfect, the sound equally good. If you like the Perry Mason stories, this is another must for your collection. I just wish they would bring the seasons out more quickly.
The episodes in this set include:
Disc 1-
-The Case of The Shapely Shadow - 1/6/1962
-The Case of The Captain's Coins - 1/13/1962
-The Case of The Tarnished Trademark - 1/20/1962
-The Case of The Glamorous Ghost - 2/3/1962
Disc 2-
-The Case of The Poison Pen-Pal - 2/10/1962
-The Case of The Mystified Miner - 2/24/1962
-The Case of The Crippled Cougar - 3/3/1962
-The Case of The Absent Artist - 3/17/1962
Disc 3-
-The Case of The Melancholy Marksman - 3/24/1962
-The Case of The Angry Astronaut - 4/7/1962
-The Case of The Borrowed Baby - 4/14/1962
-The Case of The Counterfeit Crank - 4/28/1962
Disc 4-
-The Case of The Ancient Romeo - 5/5/1962
-The Case of The Promoter's Pillbox - 5/19/1962
-The Case of The Lonely Eloper - 5/26/1962

4.0 out of 5 stars I'm excited about this release, but as usual, I will wait 2 Oct 2010
By William J. Irvin - Published on
I have all the PM releases to date but $37.00 for a half-season is a bit too pricey for me. I always wait a little while and will pick it up for less than $30. It's worth waiting for. This is such a great show.

5.0 out of 5 stars Yay, another Perry Mason 5 Oct 2010
By Rachel Grean - Published on
I have all the discs so far and watched them twice. I like the set-up of Perry as top, well known, single attorney with loyal secretary (mmmm) and detective Paul Drake.

The episodes so far also convey a lot of the late 50's and early 60's re style in clothing with their many yards of material and the sumptuous cars!! It seems every car is a new and different one, mostly convertibles and it seems all Fords unless someone knows otherwise. I even saw an Edsel in an opening shot. All the cars were huge. They could fit Perry, Della and Paul in the front seat!

Looking forward to this set.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perry Mason on MeTV 5 May 2011
By David - Published on
For those of you who have despaired of viewing Seasons 6-9, I have great news. MeTV is a new network with a lot of content from the 50s and 60s. This network has two showings of Perry Mason Monday-Friday at 1000AM (ET) and 1130 PM (ET). MeTV is using the restored prints of the show which results in a great picture.

The episodes have been showing in sequence by air date. The shows appear to be full length with commercial breaks at the original locations.

The 1000AM showing is currently in the middle of Season 3. The 1130PM showing was until last night in the middle of Season 8. Last night's show was the first episode of Season 1. I don't know if they have run out of the restored episodes or it just a brief departure from the schedule. The schedule for MeTV still indicates that the next few airings will be from Season 8.

I encourage all of the Perry Mason fans to contact MeTV and express appreciation for the airing of Perry Mason. My hope is that all of Seasons 6-9 will eventually be shown with the restored prints.
