Great labels for special purposes 15 July 2009

I bought these for custom LTO tape labels. As the title describes them, they are much more durable than typical paper labels. They adhere very well, but you must get them in the right position the first time as the adhesive may come off if you try to reposition them (probably will make it easier to remove them when desired).

I would not recommend these for normal office purposes such as address labels, and etc., that will be put on paper.

Expensive, but very durable. Great for LTO tape barcode labels 15 Jun. 2014

I bought these for barcode labels on LTO backup tapes. There is a web site that allows you to create the barcode labels for free. After you create the label sheet. Just load in a color printer and print! These labels worked perfectly for me using a Canon color laser printer. The barcodes, so far, are staying on with no deterioration.

Avery Permanant ID Lablels 3 Dec. 2007

These work really well and the included software is very handy. They are much more durable than the regular labels, but they don't stick all that much better.

Received a misprinted or counterfeit product 27 Nov. 2012
By Lucas C. - Published on Amazon.com

I ordered the Avery 6577 for the purpose of printing my own bar code labels for an LTO 5 robotic auto loader. These are specialty labels and were not available in any local retailers stores (Walmart, Frys, Office Max, and Staples (Only carried online))

I am a Amazon Prime member (for over 2 years now) and chose next day shipping for $3.99; The box was shipped promptly and packaged well.

I received what seemed to be a quality product. Correct box, and correct identifiers on each page with the Avery logo and template number (6577).

So why the 1 star review?
Something strange caught my eye as I looked at one of the sheets; There were three columns of labels instead of two and a total of 30 labels per page instead of 32 per the product specs, box, and official Avery template. Upon further investigation I noticed the labels were the incorrect size (1 x 2 5/8 instead of 5/8 x 3); A quick search reveals that these labels are actually Avery 6460; a much cheaper, inkjet, incorrect size, non-permanent label.

Buyer beware!
Either Avery's quality assurance needs to improve as they printed the wrong product identification labels on a few thousand (or possibly million) sheets of labels and placed them in the incorrect box.

I received a very well made counterfeit product.

I am returning this item for a full refund and will be purchasing a similar template from another vendor...
