I found this useful as a taster kit for the craft of "Pergamano", nice to have everything you need to get started in one box, not as easy as it looks.

This is a great craft to take up.The kit is a good price and has a good book,tools and mat to get you started with the hobby. I loved it that much I have purchased some more Pergamano things.

I dont regard this product as a toy. I am attending a supposedly beginners parchment class in my local library but have found some of the projects too complicated for me, an absolute beginner. This kit was recommended to me and I am SO glad I bought it- the projects are easy to complete, starting with a very simple one, with each subsequent one building upon the skills learnt in the last one.
It contains everything needed to do the projects- you really don't have to go out and buy anything extra.
I loved the kit so much I completed all of the projects within a week without any difficulty and they all look really good.
Its in the toy section but I would say it would suit a dextrous teenager ( and adults). Not really suitable for younger children in my opinion.
If you want to try parchment craft , treat yourself!
