Efterklang's grandiose swan song with Leaf and what a way to sign off. Hire the biggest orchestra imaginable and the proceed to recreate your most famous record in pure theatrical style. Efterklang are possibly the best live band I've ever witnessed and this is a fitting document to their joyous, exuberant sound. Watch them explode in 2010, with their forthcoming 4AD-backed new album.

An amazing album. A cacophony of spacial sound enriched by the blend of human voiced tracks. I like the depth and variety of tracks which carry you through an experience which ends too soon ! Look forward to their next album.

Those new to the Pheneminem that is Efterkleng are not in for an easy ride,this Danish collective,play extreme music,very much in the mould of "Sigur ros" thry weave their way through complicated time structures that reflect both the beauty and harshness of their surroundings.
For the live performance DVD the electronics have been replaced mainly by conventional instruments incuding the Harmonium,and this adds to the enjoyment.the choir sounds other worldly throughout bringing to mind "Atom heart mother" and works of that ilk.
Thisis not a recoding to be taken lighly,but persevere and you will get there.
The production is clean and crisp,and the gatefold packaging is good as well
