But that is all part of the allure of this quixotic range of English cars. Where other makers of sports cars have sourced componentry from all over the world, TVR has determinedly set about making as much of their cars in-house as possible. With the arrival of the more recent Tuscan, Cerbera, Sagaris, Typhon and Tamora the company has phased out its use of the venerable Rover alloy V8 in favour of its own DOHC in-line 3.6-litre 350 bhp Straight Six engine that drives the rear wheels through a TVR-made manual gearbox. This portfolio chronicles the activities of one of England's more energetic manufacturers. Included are road & comparison tests, technical descriptions & history. Models covered: Griffith, Chimaera, Tuscan, T350 C & t, Cerbera, Tamora, Typhon & Sagaris. A total of 128 pages including 48 in full colour.

A truly excellent compilation of contemporary road tests, clear reprints, nicely produced with 48 colour pages. Essential reading for any TVR devotee, objective reports from a variety of sources revealing the incredible performance of these charismatic cars when they were new. I couln't put it down. Excellent value and fascinating information on the modern TVRs, warts and all.

A 'must' for any who would keep up with changing times and designs.

You have to be a sports car fan in general with a special affection for English creations in particular, but if you're such a fan, the specialty details in TVR Performance Portfolio is for you. It offers up a summation of activities of the past six years of the TVR manufacturer, packing in performance details, technical details, comparisons and history. Yes, there are also over forty color pages detailing these newer models. A 'must' for any who would keep up with changing times and designs.
