Product Description

Product Description

This pocket book looks at the surreal seventies film "Performance", which starred Mick Jagger and James Fox. Entertainingly outrageous characters drift around a huge house in Notting Hill - with a heady concoction of love, drugs and gangsters.

...I wanted to know more about the man who has defied time and become a legend. I was not disappointed. Mr. Brown deftly describes what made Mr. Jagger tick in his youth. I recommend this book to anyone who is interested in the Rolling Stones as cultural icons.

This is a first rate study of one of the British cinema's most underestimated films by one of the country's top journalists. Brown writes powerfully and perceptively but without the intrusive vanity of many so-called reviewers, who want to impress readers with their learning and wit.
