About the Author

Elizabeth Hayley is actually "Elizabeth" and "Hayley," two friends who love reading romance novels to obsessive levels. This mutual love prompted them to put their English degrees to good use by penning their own. The product is Pieces of Perfect, their debut novel. They learned a ton about one another through the process, like how they clearly share a brain and have a persistent need to text each other constantly (much to their husbands' chagrin). "Elizabeth" lives with her husband, one and a half year old daughter and nut-job of a dog. "Hayley" lives with her husband and her own crazy dog. They are hoping to adopt a newborn soon. Elizabeth Hayley's writing motto is best captured by the words of Patrick Dennis: "I always start with a clean piece of paper and a dirty mind.

You need to read Pieces of Perfect and Picking up the Pieces before reading this book. This is a fairly short story following up on the man Lily left behind and his own happily ever after. We meet up with him 2 1/2 years after Lily left, and he's happier then ever. This is a very sweet book and a perfect conclusion to the Pieces series. It's nice to see everyone finally leave the past behind and getting on with their lives. All in all, like the rest of Elizabeth Hayleys books, this is a great story, fantastic characters, and brilliant editing, funny in parts, sweet in others, and just enough sex to keep me happy. If you've read the other two books in this series, then you really need to read this. You'll finish it with a smile on your face, whether you think he should have been with Lily or not, this will leave you with the satisfaction of knowing all the drama and heartache was worth it in the end. Another 5 star read.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Perfect Ending for the Other Guy 19 Mar. 2014
By The Never Ending Book Basket - Published on

So this is the novella for the guy that Lily didn't choose. This is where you get to see his happily ever after. As much as I think Lily made the absolute right choice at the end of Picking Up the Pieces, I still wanted this guy to have his day too. He really deserved it, and I truly loved his character. There was no way around that.

This was nice little snippet of what his happily ever after is. I really enjoyed getting to jump into the shoes of this guy again, and I couldn't help but love how everything worked out for him. I found that the person he ended up with seemed to truly fit him, and that their relationship was what seemed right.

This is a really quick read, but it will fulfill everything you could have wanted for him. It's got everything you want: a little bit of drama, some hot and spicy, plenty of romance, and of course the happily ever after you've been pulling for since day one with this gentleman caller.

The first book was amazing! The second book I was a little disappointed as I wanted and expected more of Max and Lily in book 2 this book to me was to good to see how Adam turned out but was just ok!
3.0 out of 5 stars The End... 6 July 2014

This is a short story to wrap up the series. We get the HEA for the guy that Lily didn't choose. Truth be told, I didn't need this story. In my mind I had written his HEA and was happy with the way book two ended. We dont have a lot of background information about the woman he's chosen, so it kinda fell flat for me. Perhaps its because I wasn't his biggest fan in the first place...I had a hard time caring about anyone in this conclusion.
2.0 out of 5 stars the one I liked the least 10 May 2014

I wasn't sold on the series after the first book but really enjoyed the second. The third I could have done without. By that point, I really didn't care for those characters or what happened to them.
2.0 out of 5 stars He had issues 30 April 2014

Though it seemed like the man left behind got his happily ever after, he still has issues. His distrust of Carly causes problems that could be avoided and I feel bad that she has to put up with him for the long haul.
