Perfect World: Complete Series One and Two [DVD]

A strange kind of review this as I am one of the actors who was involved in this series (I played Vaughn). I just wanted to add my voice to the dismay that this series hasn't been released. I too contacted 2Entertain (publishers/distributors) about this DVD release and was told the same thing as other reviewers. I was also told I could have a copy of each series but that's not the point, this show should be available for all the fans (and I'm constantly surprised how many there are). My five stars as part of this review reflects how much I loved making the series, what a shame others can't review this often over looked comedy because of some strange technicality which prevents it going on sale (which, unfortunately I can't go into here). Brilliant ! When I heard this was being released I was more than jovial.
But it has taken forever. First ages ago, then last September now January 2009, and would you believe it, it still has not come out ! ! !
WHAT IS HAPPENING ? ? ? Get it together and release this absolutely amazing piece of comedy. Cant understand why it has taken so long? Delay after delay. Would be faster to just rerun a repeat of both series on the tv at this rate. A total disappointment so far for me and many others that have waited so long only to be knocked back again.
I am seriously thinking of writing a letter of complaint to hurry up this release before Perfect World disappears forever ! ! !

Instead of putting poor after poor sitcoms on tv just put the oldies on !!!

Well... What can I say? Still no release or repeats/re-runs on TV !!!
This is a serious tragedy of overlooked british comedy which is swept under the carpet to nevermore be seen again... They could make an absolute fortune if it were to be released, as I for one know many people who would rush out & purchase this on DVD immediately !!! What the hell has happened? Surely some company is willing to release this comedy great & make money before the pirate DVDs are being sold by the bundle load? I for one would buy one if it was offered to me today... Therefore taking money away from those who have neglected to release this masterpiece of british comedy talent... More fools they are, those that cant see a good move beckoning in front of them...

For all you fellow Perfect World fans, just thought I'd let you know that I've been on to the nice people at 2Entertain and and it seems that Perfect World series 1 and 2 DVD will be released in July 2011...ages away I know! Here's the reply below:

"You're right the dates have gone back and for several months it has sat in the Unscheduled list of titles. Following recent progress we have brought it back into our release schedule for a tentative release of 4th July 2011."

Hopefully this won't change.
