Sometimes i just want to relax and watch a film. I don't want to have to intellectualise, I don't want it have to theorise and I don't want to have to analyse an over complex plot after a 12 hour shift at work
If, like myself, you were brought up in the 80's you may have had exposure to a number of different Martial Arts film titles. Some of these were dire, ridiculous efforts with acting that actually made you physically cringe. Others, however, provided simple basic story-lines based on a moral tale that were backed up with great action
The Perfect Weapon is definitely in the better class of 80's karate films. It provides excellent action scenes and an agreeable plot without the same degree of 'cheesiness' that was present in other martial arts films. If you like the 80's action genre, just want to relax and experience the nostalgia of what it was like to grow up in the 80's i highly recommend this film
