Fink has been somewhat under my radar - but this album has made me sit up and take notice. Not that it is an 'in your face listening experience'. His warm powerful vocals combined with mostly acoustic guitar drum and bass arrangements are easy on the ear. Heading in a mostly folk with hint of rock direction, this is a slow build sort of record. Listen carefully and you will like it more.
If you like your music in the smouldering James Blake mode, this one is for you. Very promising and I am hoping for a good live show in Oct.

Favourite tracks: Perfect Darkness, Warm Shadow, Yesterday was hard, Berlin Sunrise, Honesty
Great talent, great use of looping, smooth vocals, interesting lyrics, good ear for a melody, but some tracks don't feel quite as memorable as others (I could easily drop the blues standard style 'Wheels' and 'Save it for Somebody else' without reducing my appreciation for the album).
Having said that, this is my first introduction to 'Fink', and maybe I'll grow to like those tracks especially in the context of his other work, who knows!?!

From the very first listen, I knew that I'd love this cd. It's not going to be everyone's cup of tea, but then, what is? Very atmospheric and you can imagine listening to it, shacked up in a cottage, mid- Winter, the wind howling outside, the storm's a brewing...it's got that kind of feel. Dark but strangely comforting. Love his voice, love the melancholic feel. I rate this big time.

Great Album
This is a brilliant album from a brilliant artist. Discovered Fink from watching The Walking Dead and I'm glad I did!

Just brilliant !!
Love this, heard one of the tracks on the walking dead and just knew I had to buy it. I Bought the CD and just love his voice, so relaxing and easy to listen.

beautiful
this album has such a full rich sound, it has become a definite favourite. i found fink on youtube as a recommendation after listenening to Ben Howard, and i'm absolutely hooked.

Perfect CD-case.. and good music
