what i would have asked for!,

OK to start this is a wonderful surprise for me, i thought this dvd would be all based around the new album and i thought the remix CD included within would be as well! i was incredibly happy to found out this wasnt the case! the DVD is a compilation of all the Perfect Circle videos to date including the newest ones and it also features back stage footage a couple of extra runner up music videos from the recent competition they held and some previews of the film " the bikini bandits" featuring maynard. all in all the only thing i feel the DVD could benifit from is a bit more live footage...maybe i am asking too much?... i think i am as it is a classic and welcome on my DVD shelf anyday! The remix CD wasnt a dissapointment either! none of the magic of the songs is lost and all seem to simply be completely re-recorded versions which made me happy! no odd experimental dance re-mixes here! ... basically if you like APC or are a fan of really good music/ music videos then get this.... within the next ten minutes!....

I love APC, they are a really amazing band with some amazing songs. But this DVD just aint good enough. The special features are pretty poo, there are only a few music videos, and when it gets into Bikini Bandit territory i just dont get it. I know its meant to be tongue in cheek and all that, but i just found a great big gaping hole after watching it. The best thing about the DVD is the backstage footage of James Iha, Maynard in a santa suit and bottle of wine and Jeordie White jamming on stage. And Paz.

Its a shame that such a brilliant band seem to be let down by their videos.As a recent newcomer to APC, having only recently bought Mer de noms and the brilliant Thirteenth step, I have been absolutely besotted with their sound, so much so that I have played it every day for the last 2 weeks and still love it! Now....hoping for the ultimate, I feel let down by the tacky video's that don't fit with the music in any sense or way whatever. The only decent vids are those actually featuring the band themself. As for the audio CD of re-mixes... why???? You simply cant better the originals!! I do hope that APC pull themselves back and cease mucking about with a recipe that tasted 'perfect' anyway!
