Perfectly marvelous 11 Nov 2005
Format:Mass Market Paperback
A Perfect Bride is chronologically the 1st of 3 books (the other two are A Perfect Groom and A Perfect Hero) and it talks about etremely poor, but proud Devon who works in a tavern in a worst part of London. One evening when she's returning home (pretending to be pregnant to avoid rapists and robbers) she is attacked by two robbers and in a fight kills one of them but is hurt as well.... And when she wakes up, she is wrapped in fine linen and staring into the eyes of the most handsome man she has ever seen - Sebastian Sterlin, marquess od Thurston who judging her appearance and manner thinks the worst of her...

I recommend this book to anyone who is a big fan of Samantha James...

A Perfect Read 19 Jan 2010
By J. Wood
Format:Mass Market Paperback
The meeting of the main characters was dramatic and inventive, they literally collided with each other, the intrigue started there and then. This feisty girl from one of the most deprived / sleazy areas of London and this upright, uptight male representative of high society were bound to bring out the worst in one another.Their separate insecurities and strengths made them both antagonistic and likeable at the same time. You were drawn into the characters of Devon and Sebastian and before you knew it you became desperate to read on and find out what was going to happen between the two of them. The only problem is once you read this novel you then have to read the two novels that follow!!Throroughly enjoyed

By Naomi
Format:Mass Market Paperback
I enjoyed this book mainly because of the characters and the humour in it.
The two disapointments was the predictablity, and the fact that something major happens and it felt like it was swept under the carpet.

That said I will be looking forward to reading some of her other work, particularly the other two to this series.
