I set out looking for a Moleskin alternative that was a perfect combination of pocket sized and durable. This Whitelilnes product fits perfectly into a shirt or pant pocket, and is thin enough to comfortably sit on. It can even fit nicely into the cup holder on an athletic supporter (you might prefer a hard cover if you plan on actually engaging in athletics). I also love that the manufacturer is trying to produce more conscious, demanding consumers by providing the product's carbon footprint on the cover (0.044kg CO2). Despite all these positive characteristics, the product failed to hold up well once transported to the third world. On one fateful day, the notebook fell out of my pocket and into a puddle on the ground. Within about a week most of the 'laminate' on the back cover had peeled off. The notebook pages held up pretty well, and didn't even get warped. After about two months of extensive use (in my pocket daily), I've used up all 48 sheets, and the notebook is getting ready to retire. The laminate on the edges of front and back cover are also peeling off. For the most part, I'm happy with my Whitelines pocket notebook. I would only suggest slightly beefier, but still flexible covers that don't react so adversely to the elements. Otherwise, great design, perfect sizing, innovative white lines. Good job Swedes! Hej då.
