In The Secret Path, it's a beautiful Spring morning and Percy is very busy. He is about to start work on the old maze which has become overgrown. Percy's friends see him setting off and decide to give him a big surprise. In The Rescue Party, it's a perfect summer's afternoon and Percy is jolly pleased it's his day off. But when a little girl rabbit falls down an old well, Percy doesn't have much time to relax as he leap's to the rescue. We have the Classic Collection DVD, which gives gentle ten minute stories suitable for our 2-3 year old. She loves it, so we bought this. It is two half hour episodes, both aimed at rather older children. The second one, The Secret Path, is a little scary for a toddler: small rabbit gets lost down a hole and is frightened and sad for quite a long time, and meets a rather sinister-looking toad. We will put it aside till she is older. Ten minute stories are far more flexible, and therefore useful for a parent, than a half hour block which cannot be interrupted.

The title of both stories really speak for themselves.
While they may not be the most intelletually challenging films for adults, for toddlers they are spell binding, particularly after hard days running, jumping, temper trantrums etc.
After the first 30 viewing in one day you'll find yourself constantly humming the tune.
Be warned though, they are addictive to little minds who do not understand that Fox should be chasing the rabbits, not holding hands running round the maze or helping pull them out of wells!

I gave this to my 3 year old granddaughter for her 3rd birthday - her mother likes her to obsess over 'in the night garden' which i loathe - she had already got a book about Percy which she loved and she now loves him even more, as he does real things! The dvd was delivered very quickly which was pleasing.
