She wins awards & is platinum selling but no one over here seems to heard of her. What can I tell you? She has one of the best voices (and accents) ever - I would listen to her read the phone book. The fact she writes clever, insightful, moving songs as well means you I don't have to.

This album is maybe more mature (whatever that means), musically more gentle than "Pizza"(LET'S HEAR IT FOR PIZZA) but the lyrics are just as sharp if not sharper. A barb to pierce your soul wrapped in tupelo honey so sweet you listen anyway.

Is you're not sure start with Pick a Story if you have kids or Girl with a Smile if you don't.

I have several of Juliet's albums and have heard her live a few times. This album is genuinely excellent, and I would say the best yet, with lovely/challenging/clever lyrics, some a little tongue-in-cheek, others sincere and thought-provoking. There's also great mucic, which is melodic and interesting but never over-done, and some brilliant backing vocals. And JT's clear and true voice, carrying her County Tyrone (Ulster/Northern Ireland) accent that she doesn't try to disguise.
"Elder of the Tribe" or "People have names" are worth the album price alone.
I'd recommend to anyone who likes original singer-songwriter collections, especially from a very talented woman who sings and writes about things that matter - life, love, justice...
