What a striking song not just for the truthful lyrics, but also fantastic sound and base, if you have just got into 80`s music this is for you and of course depeche fans.

An earnest, if slightly embarassing, call for social equity and against racism, "People are people" is the first sample of DM's new style: this is bombastic pop, industrial and powerful. The lyrics may sometimes cause a smile or two, but it was a huge hit nonetheless. The longer mix is perfectly suited for the dance floor. The B-side "Work hard" has a heavy beat and shows the same deliberate lack of musical finesse in favour of a thumping experience, but is soon monotonous.

Excellent single. Buy it for 'In Your Memory'

Like the previous reviewer said, 'In Your Memory' can't be found anywhere else, and for me, it was the reason I bought this single. It's a great song, which starts out eerily, and the lyrics keep up the sense of mysteriousness with lines like "Keep it in your memory/ Leave it in your past/ But don't forget". Anybody else long for the days back when Depeche Mode's b-sides were just as good (if not better) than the single?
