My camera came with a french manual so this was a useful alternative to printing off the down-loaded manual (a bit smaller too). There are some bits of information that are buried deep inside the manual that may not have been unearthed otherwise. The pocket guide has been useful too.

My official user guide is held on my PC (via the supplied CD). This guide book is complimentary to the official instructions. It is written in a very straightforward manner and covers everything you need to know about the camera. It also gives useful hints and advice. The book is logical and easy to use. Yes, I am a person who always read the user manual. However, with this book it also an enjoyable read. If I had to choose I would select this guide.

I have the operating manual for the Pentax K100D but this adds so much more. You know those bits that you
skip over because you don't need to know it "right now" in order to take photos? Well, the guide leads you through them clearly and cleverly and gets you deciding "well, perhaps they are worth a go." I don't know of a better way to recommend a guide than that, because in the end you want something that you can easily pick up, that makes sense, and that you will actually use. This is it.
